As of April 12, 2019 we have 558 signatures for our petition. I am very happy with the amount of signatures we got because it shows 558 people are against racism.

This chart of discrimination at workplaces from the website https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/01/10/black-stem-employees-perceive-a-range-of-race-related-slights-and-inequities-at-work/ show how blacks feel the most discriminated against when getting a job, a promotion, and at work. Out of the whites, hispanics, asians, and blacks, whites feel the most comfortable in their environment. This comes to show that racism does exist and it is affecting people at their work. How are they supposed to feel safe when they are judged by the co- workers?

To help reach a bigger audience, we have decided to create a video discussing our topic Racism and Police Brutality. We will be surveying people to see how they think of the topic and which ethnicity groups are mostly harmed.

So far we have 36 signatures and this is a bad improvement because this is still no where near our goal of getting 100 signatures. So when you see this post, go sign our petition so people realize how big this problem is to society.

You cannot assume something about a person just because they look different. The most basic saying is – you can’t judge a book by its cover. When people say racism is not real, you have to realize that there is people out there judging a person based on the color of their skin.
